Exploding a cell will remove its contents, effectively turning it into a 0-value cell and therefore revealing all surrounding cells. Exploding a cell will destroy any monsters that cell contains but can also destroy loot, strangers and landmarks. Exploding is a valuable tool for killing bosses.
