Sigils are meta-progression trinkets found in Beyond quest prizeboxes, when using Emblems.

They have randomized positive and negative effects.

Sigil Levels

There are three levels of sigils. Every sigil has one negative effect and up to three positive effects, one per sigil level.

Most of the numbers in these effects are randomly generated, in a range between a minimum and maximum value. These range values change based on the level of the Sigil, in the way more favorable to the player at higher sigil levels. Negative effects become smaller, positive effects larger, trigger conditions become easier, and so on.

Sigils drop in Beyond prizeboxes only from the appropriate level Emblem. Lv1 emblems have a chance to drop Lv1 sigils, Lv2 emblems can drop Lv2 sigils, and Lv3 can drop Lv3. Each individual emblem also has an associated sigil word, and is more likely to drop sigils with that effect.

You can indirectly obtain Lv2 sigils without playing a Lv2 emblem by finding  Dust of Chaos in prizeboxes.

You can indirectly obtain Lv3 sigils by finding  Star of Chaos in treasure chests, but those are also only found within Lv3 emblem quests.

Repair and Modify

Sigils break with use, you need to fix them with Oilstones. If you want to change something about a sigil you can use the reroll items. Each modifies some aspects of the sigil and leaves the others the same.

Impulses

Impulses are the Trigger and the Condition words. The "force" that causes a reaction.

Reflexes

Reflexes are the Downside, Effect and Passive words. The "response" to the stimulus.
