Masteries

Masteries are an important piece of meta progression in Demoncrawl, functioning as playable classes that alter how the player play the game. Currently, there are 40 Masteries total.
Unlock
Each Mastery has 3 Tiers which must be unlocked by performing a feat during a Quest. After completing a Mastery's requirement, it becomes available in the Token Shop for 10/20/30
Tokens. (With the exception of Novice Mastery, costing only 1/2/3.)
Abilities
With a few exceptions, Masteries are structured as follows:
- Tier I- A benefit provided from the start of the quest.
- Tier II - A passive benefit that triggers from time to time.
- Tier III - An activated ultimate ability that must be charged by completing a number of stages.

Auramancer Mastery | Each stage has 3 random auras and you are immune to the negative effects of auras. Bookworm Mastery | Gain a Book item whenever you enter a special stage. While in a special stage, you can change your research subject by clicking on a Book item. | Your Book effects will activate even if you're not at full life. | [3 Charges] Gain an item related to your research subject. |

Detective Mastery | Each stage has a guaranteed stranger. Gardener Mastery | Get Hungry Seeds equal to the stage's minimum power at the start of each stage.
